The FSR Veteran's Support Group is meant to address the unique needs of Veteran's living with sarcoidosis. This support group will allow patients to connect and learn coping strategies, as well as information about sarcoidosis.
FSR Veteran's Support Group Leader:
Veteran's Support Group Leaders are veterans or former active military member volunteers living with sarcoidosis who are specially trained to facilitate and host monthly sarcoidosis support groups for other veterans living with sarcoidosis.
Veteran Support Group Leaders should have excellent communication and active listening skills. They should be emotionally ready to provide peer-to-peer leadership and empowerment through the group they facilitate. They should be comfortable leading Zoom meetings and sharing their story and experience with sarcoidosis in a public setting.
The Veteran Support Group Leader position is a volunteer position.
